“Thank you for contacting me to express your opposition to U.S. military involvement in Iran. I appreciate the opportunity to respond.”
On Operation Epic Fury:
“As you know, on February 28, 2026, President Trump ordered Operation Epic Fury to dismantle the Iranian regime’s security apparatus. Specific targets included the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps command and control facilities, Iranian air defense capabilities, missile and drone launch sites, and military airfields. The operation resulted in the death of Iran’s Supreme Leader, Ali Khamenei, along with senior members of the regime.”
Justifying the operation:
“The Iranian regime is the world’s leading sponsor of terror and has the blood of thousands of Americans on its hands. Their repeated ‘Death to America’ chants are not just a slogan; the regime has actively pursued nuclear weapons and advanced missile capabilities to turn that threat into a reality. Over the last four decades, the regime has taken every opportunity to kill Americans and undermine global stability.”
“President Trump has given them numerous opportunities to de-escalate and has successfully built alliances with the rest of the Middle East, that are supportive of the Epic Fury operation. The Congressional Gang of 8 was also briefed and recognized the grave importance of stopping Iran’s advancing military capabilities.”
On the mission’s purpose:
“This mission is about protecting our homeland and finishing the job of blocking this murderous regime from obtaining a nuclear weapon.”
“My heart is with the families and loved ones of the incredible, brave American warriors who have selflessly laid their lives on the line in pursuit of peace. May God watch over our incredible U.S. Servicemembers who are tasked with this mission and those deployed across the region.”
Dismissing constituent’s position:
“Although we may not see eye to eye on this issue, rest assured, I will keep your thoughts in mind should Congress consider legislation regarding Iran and threats to our national security.”
